Local concept Blu Jam Cafe has its first franchise location gearing up to open this year. Multi-brand franchise operator Arman Boghosian told What Now Los Angeles that he is targeting a June or July opening at 11049 Magnolia Blvd, Suite 400, in North Hollywood.

“Blu Jam caught my attention because of the lifestyle and environment that Blu Jam carries,” Bohgosian said. “It’s a very American-European style of cafe. The area of North Hollywood is really missing a Blu Jam Cafe, which is a well-known brand in Los Angeles.”

The breakfast and brunch spot has been part of the Los Angeles community since 2006. It now has six corporate locations at Atwater Village, Melrose Avenue, Downtown Los Angeles, Sherman Oaks, Brentwood and Woodland Hills.

The new 2,200-square-foot location will offer both modern and rustic elements. It will feature a large dine-in area, a beige and green color scheme, wood accents, plants and a small patio.

The menu features items such as crunchy French toast, lemon crepes, omelets, avocado toast, mimosas, coffee and matcha. There will also be a menu for dogs.

Bohgosian is looking to open 3-5 more locations with the brand. Blu Jam is also looking for franchisees beyond Los Angeles such as in San Diego and Orange County.

“We’re very excited to be in North Hollywood and to serve them,” Bohgosian said. “I think it’s going to be one of the talks of the neighborhood.”
