A medical wellness clinic in San Marino, California, whose founders hold decades of industry experience, has made a bankruptcy filing. iBody Inc offers services including weight loss treatments and aesthetic medicine.

In its latest petition, the debtor listed estimated liabilities of over $2 million against a lower asset value, which may have led to the filing. An official announcement explaining the bankruptcy has not been made.

iBody Inc Voluntarily Files for Chapter 11

After facing a notable financial imbalance, the debtor has stepped into restructuring bankruptcy proceedings. The same is confirmed through its filing details currently available on PACER.

While the estimated liabilities at the time of filing were more than $2 million, the assets were a little over $198,000. These details can be found through petition listings as documented by RK Consultants.

The company, classified as a healthcare business under federal bankruptcy code, filed for Chapter 11 on April 10, 2026. Before the filing, Roberto Tostado, the president of iBody Inc, signed the petition as its authorized representative.

Attorney Steven R. Fox of The Fox Law Corporation Inc. represents the company in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.

Filings Made So Far

iBody Inc has already submitted several documents to the court, as shown in its petition.

A crucial filing among these is its list of creditors who have the 20 largest unsecured claims and are not insiders. Some of them are North Mill Equipment Finance, ABC Labs Inc, Accion Opportunity Fund Community Development, and the US Small Business Administration. A collective claim value of the creditors exceeds $1 million.

Overall, the debtor has up to 49 creditors in total. Court filings indicate there may be funds available to repay unsecured creditors.

The other document filings made by the debtor are a summary of assets and liabilities, a statement of financial affairs, a disclosure of compensation of attorney, and a corporate ownership statement. Schedules A/B, D, E/F, G, and H were filed as well.

The details listed in the Chapter 11 petition are summarized here:

  • Filing Date: April 10, 2026
  • Court and Jurisdiction: U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California
  • Type of Filing: Active, Voluntary Petition
  • Chapter: 11
  • Case Number: 2:26-bk-13464
  • Estimated Assets: Between $100,001 to $500,000
  • Estimated Liabilities: Between $1,000,001 to $10 million
  • Reason for Filing: Restructure business under court supervision

According to PacerMonitor, the debtor submitted a motion related to the use of cash collateral. It filed another motion for payment of prepetition priority employee wages. These filings indicate that the debtor is seeking to continue operations normally under court supervision.

About the Company

Founded by Roberto Tostado, M.D., and Teresa Tostado, N.P., it offers a range of solutions as a medical wellness clinic. These include hormone therapy, detox programs, medical weight loss, aesthetic procedures, and infusion treatments. Its operations are focused on in-person clinical services in San Marino, California.

As iBody Inc faces a wide gap between its assets and liabilities, the restructuring process is expected to help it sustain operations while also meeting creditor claims. The court’s rulings on its motions in the coming days could further offer clarity on its financial footing for the future.
