Visitors to the Southland Mall in Houma are set to get an affordable comfort food option when Wicked Wingz opens this spring. Owner Jamonta Brown recently told What Now New Orleans that he’s focused on bringing craveable comfort food in a quick-service format.

“I’m building a spot where you can pull up, vibe out, and eat good without blowing your whole paycheck,” he said. “We’re bringing crispy, sauced wings to perfection, stacked burgers made fresh, and loaded fries that hit every time.”

Beverage options will include soft drinks, and there will be seating available. Wicked Wingz is expected to open by early May. Brown said he’s hoping to build a brand based on hard work and dedication that will stand the test of time.

“What motivates me is turning a dream into a real business, creating job opportunities for our community, staying consistent no matter what, and growing it into something bigger every day,” he said. “I’m building Wicked Wingz to stand out, grow, and become a name people respect everywhere. And I’m just getting started.”
