Walmart has a new location on the way to Jarrell. It is slated to open at 860 FB Schwertner Rd, according to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The 174,579-square-foot project will be a new construction, with buildout estimated to cost $12.2 million. The construction timeline is planned from this September to August 2027, according to the filing.
Walmart has multiple locations in the Greater Austin area. Currently, the closest locations to Jarrell are in Georgetown and Belton. Texas has more than 500 locations across the state.
The major retailer has been modernizing stores across the country this year, offering layout, technology and service upgrades.
