Utah-based dessert franchise Crumbl is expanding to Edgewood. It will open in a 1,403-square-foot space at 1250 Caroline St., according to a recent permit filing.

KTP Capital, which invests in and operates hotels and franchises, is behind the forthcoming location. This spot will mark the firm’s second location with Crumbl, joining an existing location in Toco Hills. The team also operates a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Woodstock and last year, KTP Capital inked a deal with Potbelly Sandwich Works for 15 units in the Atlanta area.

Soomer Punja, partner at KTP Capital, told What Now Atlanta that the Edgewood location for Crumbl is slated to open in late summer, approximately four months from now. Currently, the brand has only two locations in the Atlanta area — KTP’s Toco Hills location and another spot in Brookhaven.

“We felt that [Edgewood] was an untapped territory for Crumbl,” Punja said. “The population density is so high in the city and we felt a lot of people would be interested in the product.”

This location will feature Crumbl’s usual offerings, including rotating cookie and dessert options. It will also feature Crumbl’s more recently rolled out menu items such as its dirty soda.

Eventually, KTP Capital plans to expand to two additional units for Crumbl.
