Wingstop is continuing to expand throughout the Greater Houston area with an opening set to hit the Highlands. Wingstop has filed a permit to open a brand new location in the Highlands Shopping Center at 300 North Main Street, taking over two suites in the retail strip.
According to the recently filed permit, construction is already underway and slated to be completed in June. If all goes well with construction and permitting, the new Wingstop should be landing and opening before the end of summer.
Mother-son duo, Bebe and David Mora, are the franchisees behind the upcoming opening. The two own and operate a few other Wingstop locations in the Greater Houston region and share that the new Highlands location should be open in the next few months. What Now Houston briefly spoke with Bebe, who confirmed the opening but was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.
While there are a little more than 50 Wingstop locations in Houston, Texas has the highest concentration of Wingstop locations in the United States, with more than 450 stores. Wingstop surpassed 3,000 restaurants throughout the world late last year and is continuing to grow.
“We’re not in the wing business. We’re in the flavor business. It’s been our mission to serve the world flavor since we first opened shop in ’94, and we’re just getting started,” the Wingstop website reads.
