Ivy Alley Social House is preparing to permanently close its doors this weekend. The restaurant team announced its closure with a Facebook post. It will serve its final meal May 16, after just three months in operation.

Ivy Alley Announces Final Week Celebration Before Closing

Ivy Alley Social House is a popular gathering place in Downtown South Bend. The venue features duckpin bowling, craft beer, and a casual food menu. The space offers a casual setting with indoor entertainment and dining options. The menu includes house-made pizza cooked in a brick oven and an on-site microbrewery called Bucket Head Brewing.

In a Facebook post, the restaurant team wrote, “After much thought, we have come to the very difficult decision to permanently close Ivy Alley. Our last day of operation will be May 16th.”

They added that they are very grateful for the community and the support shown in the last few months. “Closing our doors has been a heart-wrenching decision, and we will cherish the memories we’ve made here together,” added the team.

For its final week, the restaurant is offering discount on all food and drinks. “Also 50% off selected wine by the bottle and 25% off merchandise,” noted the team. Customers with My Deals Michiana coupons were asked to use the coupon as soon as possible.

Reason for Closure

The restaurant owner has cited a lack of business as the key reason for closure, according to the WSBT 22 report. “Downtown South Bend hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Ivy Alley Social House in February,” stated the report.

Several loyal patrons of the restaurant shared heartfelt messages following the news of its closure on social media. “So sad to hear this news! We’ve enjoyed it many times, and we’ll miss coming back! Great place! Best wishes!” wrote one customer.

In the post, the team encourages the community to visit and enjoy discounted meals one last time before it shuts down permanently. Even though short-lived, Ivy will surely leave a mark on the Indiana dining community.
