Fast-casual chain PITA Mediterranean Street Food is expanding to Roswell. Multi-unit franchisee Ahmad Alsalman will open in a 1,200-square-foot space at Crabapple Park at 30 E. Crossville Road, Suite 160. He told What Now Atlanta that he is targeting a late June opening in the space.

Gary Woodward, managing director with JLL, represented PITA in securing the location.

The brand launched as a family-owned business in 2011. PITA now has more than 50 locations across Georgia, Alabama, Florida and South Carolina. Alsalman owns existing spots in Halcyon in Alpharetta, Snellville and Lawrenceville.

PITA serves Mediterranean items such as gyros, pitas, falafel, bowls, salads and desserts such as baklava. The franchise uses ingredients such as Lebanese extra virgin olive oil, certified Halal meats and imported spices.

Alsalman is hoping to continue to expand with the brand. He is scouting locations outside of Georgia and in Columbus, Georgia.
