After a brief run in the Bissonnet Corner area, KP’s Kitchen and Bar is closing. The owner shared the news on Instagram and confirmed its final day of operation will be on May 31. KP’s Kitchen and Bar will continue to operate its Spring Valley location.
KP’s Kitchen and Bar to Shut Down Bellaire Restaurant
One of the popular restaurants in the Bissonnet neighborhood, KP’s Kitchen and Bar, known for a relaxed atmosphere and elevated American comfort food is closing. The space features modern and warm indoor and patio seating. Menu highlights include double cheeseburgers, hot honey chicken sandwiches, and craft cocktails.
The announcement read, “Our Bellaire location will be closing on 5/31.” The team also thanked the community and invited them to stop in, “Thank you for all the memories, meals, and support over the years. We’d love to see you before we close – and we hope you’ll continue the journey with us at KP’s Kitchen Spring Valley. Come raise one last glass with us.”
The restaurant owner, Kerry Pauly, shared the news on Facebook with an emotional message. He said, “Over the last several years, Bellaire became so much more than a restaurant to me. It became a community filled with familiar faces, friendships, celebrations, late nights, and memories I’ll carry forever.”
Owner Refocuses Energy on Original Location
In the post, Kerry shared, “The reason I opened KP’s Kitchen was never to build a big restaurant group. It was to connect with people, be part of the community, and create a place that felt personal.”
He explained that operating two restaurant locations has kept him away from the hands-on hospitality experience. “After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision to focus my full energy on our original Spring Valley location moving forward,” he continued.
He also expressed gratitude to the customers for supporting the restaurant.
Even though the KP’s Kitchen and Bar Bellaire location is saying goodbye, the restaurant will continue its journey in its original Spring Valley location.
