Modern menswear brand Rye 51 has been part of Ponce City Market for 11 years. Now, it will relocate within the development to a larger space. Rye 51 will transition in June into a 2,800-square-foot location on the ground floor of four-story mass timber building 619 Ponce, according to a release.

Rye 51 will join other ground-floor retailers in the building, including Pottery Barn and ice cream shop Van Leeuwen. The Rye 51 space at 619 Ponce will feature high ceilings, natural light and an open layout, and it will feature product items ranging from tailored clothing to luxury casual wear.

“This move marks an exciting next chapter as we transition Rye 51 as a standalone brand,” Raja Ratan, president of Rye 51, said in the release. “Our new space is thoughtfully designed to reflect how men dress today – anchored in elevated casual wear, with custom clothing seamlessly integrated into a complete wardrobe experience.”

Ratan founded Rye 51 in 2003 as a custom clothing boutique and Rye 51 grew into a menswear brand dedicated to timelessness with a modern flair and an emphasis on tailoring.

“Rye 51 has a long-standing history at Ponce City Market,” Adam Schwegman, head of retail leasing at Jamestown, said in the release. “The new, larger space at 619 Ponce positions the brand to showcase its ever-evolving point-of-view while continuing to deliver the elevated experience its customers expect.”
