A new dining concept from Major Food Group is set to debut at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood (1 Seminole Way), replacing the property’s existing Italian restaurant as the hospitality powerhouse continues its South Florida expansion.
Cipresso, the resort and casino’s long standing Italian restaurant will close permanently to make room for the new concept, according to the restaurant’s website, which states, “Cipresso will be closing on June 13. Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood has joined forces with Major Food Group to bring new and exclusive dining experiences. Coming Fall 2026.” Details about the name and concept have not been released, but there is speculation that one of Major Food Group’s Italian concepts might open at the Hollywood, Florida venue.
Major Food Group was founded in New York by Jeff Zalaznick, Mario Carbone, and Rich Torrisi, who built the company into a global hospitality brand. The company traces its roots to the opening of Torrisi Italian Specialties in Manhattan and officially launched Major Food Group in 2011.
Today, Major Food Group operates more than 40 restaurants, private clubs, and hospitality venues around the world. Its best-known concepts include Carbone; Sadelle’s, Dirty French, Contessa, and ZZ’s Club.
