Planet Fitness is heading to 16074 SE McLoughlin Blvd in Milwaukie, with an opening expected in the third quarter of 2026. The new gym is part of a juicy $30 million expansion by Easy Mile Fitness, the chain’s Oregon franchisee, which plans to open six new locations and upgrade four existing ones across the state.

The Milwaukie gym is one of four new Planet Fitness locations coming to the Portland metro area. Two more Portland-area locations are expected to follow in the fourth quarter of the year, with addresses yet to be announced. Easy Mile Fitness is expected to finish operating 30 Planet Fitness clubs in Oregon, making it the largest Planet Fitness franchisee in the state.

“Our goal is to make health and wellness as accessible to as many people as possible,” said Philip Amato, the company’s chief operating officer, to the Portland Business Journal. “We continue to see our members using the clubs more throughout the state, even in busier markets like Portland.”

Known for its low-cost memberships and “Judgment Free Zone” philosophy, Planet Fitness has built a national following by offering accessible fitness facilities geared toward casual gym-goers and first-time members. At $15 a month, Planet Fitness has built its entire identity around removing the financial barrier to fitness, and with several locations across the state, it gives Oregonians no excuse to skip the gym.
