Osmow’s Shawarma is working on an opening in Missouri City. According to a recently filed permit, the Mediterranean shawarma spot is expected to open within the Shops at Vickburg at 10040 Hwy 6, Suite 300.
Construction on the new Osmow’s Shawarma is planned for an August start and is slated to wrap up by the end of October. If all goes well with the estimated $260,000 construction project and permitting, Osmow’s Shawarma should open in the Sienna area by this winter.
What Now Houston briefly spoke with Osmow’s Inc. President, Bernadette Osmow-Farag, who confirmed the opening but was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.
“From our signature shawarma wraps– filled with chicken, beef, lamb, falafel -including creating the original Signature Creations – ON THE ROCKS and ON THE STICKS, Osmow’s earned a loyal following with it’s mordern take on classic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine,” the Osmow’s Shawarma website reads.
The family-run brand was founded by Sam Osmow, who emigrated from Egypt to Canada with his family, bringing with him a passion for Mediterranean cuisine, which resulted in the first Osmow’s Shawarma location opening in 2001. Since then, his son Ben and daughter, Benadette, have helped the business grow, opening locations in the United States, with a vast majority of those locations in Florida, Michigan, and Virginia.
Known for its customizable shawarma in chicken, beef, lamb, and falfael in wraps, platters, and their signature “Rocks” or “Stix,” featuring unique sauces like Garlic S’OZ & OzPotle Sauce, Osmow’s Shawarma is now North America’s fastest-growing shawarma chain.
There are now more than 230 Osmow’s Shawarma locations across North America. A good majority of the chain’s locations are in Canada. The Shops at Vicksburg opening would be the second Osmow’s Shawarma location to open in the Lone Star State.
Osmow’s Shawarma is anticipated to open in Missouri City within the Shops at Vickburg at 10040 Hwy 6, Suite 300, before the end of this year.
