Puffles is coming to Davie.
The shop, known for its decadent sweet treats, has filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to open a shop at 1855 S. University Drive in Davie, bringing its popular Hong Kong-style egg waffles, premium ice cream and handcrafted bubble tea to dessert lovers in southwest Broward county. The company website lists no opening date, simply noting the shop is “coming soon”.
The new shop will feature Puffles’ signature made-to-order bubble waffles, which can be customized with premium ice cream, fresh fruit, sauces and toppings, along with a menu of milk teas, fruit teas and specialty beverages. The Davie location is part of the company’s growing expansion throughout Florida and beyond.
Founded in 2017 by Caleb Deng and inspired by his childhood growing up in New York City’s Chinatown, Puffles began as a pop-up concept before opening its flagship brick-and-mortar location in Hollywood in 2019. Today, the company operates three locations—Hollywood Beach, Downtown Miami and Hard Rock Stadium—with additional stores planned for Davie, Pembroke Pines and New Jersey. The company launched franchising in 2023 as it looks to expand across the East Coast, but this location is owned and operated by its founder.
The Davie restaurant will add another destination for the brand’s colorful, Instagram-worthy desserts while introducing more residents to the authentic flavors of Hong Kong street food.
