Local realtor Simmi Patel is taking a step into the food and beverage industry this year. Patel plans to open Decadent Coffee & Dessert Bar at 99 Hwy 81, Suite 104, in McDonough, Patel told What Now Atlanta.
Patel was interested in opening a coffee shop when she came across Decadent Dessert Bar in Warner Robins. When she found out that the brand franchises, she decided to open a location.
“I tried their coffee and dessert and it’s truly amazing,” Patel said.
The brand serves a variety of cakes, cheesecakes, pies, brownies, cookies, cannolis, pastries and additional dessert options. There are also coffee and tea options, including cold brew, lattes and matchas.
“Basically any major dessert you can think of, we’re going to have it,” Patel said.
Renderings for the McDonough location display a contemporary design with a spacious dining area, a pastry display and a walk-up counter.
The team is still in the process of permitting and construction is still to come. Patel hopes to open the location by the end of the year.
“My main goal is to bring a good coffee shop to McDonough because we don’t have a lot,” Patel said. “I do want to keep expanding it and take it to other cities in Georgia.”
Decadent also has locations in Modesto, Calif., and Fulton, Maryland, in addition to the spot in Warner Robins.
