Chick-fil-A to Open Nine New Restaurants in North Texas

Chick-fil-A is expanding its North Texas presence with nine new openings this year across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Two locations have already opened, with seven more scheduled to debut later this year.

Chick-fil-A has operated in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for decades. Its first local restaurant opened at Ridgmar Mall in 1977, and its first standalone restaurant opened in Grapevine in 1998. The company also opened its 3,000th restaurant at The Shops at RedBird in Dallas.

The company has already opened restaurants at Dallas North Tollway and W. Frontier Parkway, as well as in Melissa. The other locations will open in Royse City, Hillsboro, Azle, Fort Worth, Princeton, and Sachse. A Chick-fil-A restaurant will also open at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport’s Terminal A.

Chick-fil-A is the third-largest quick-service restaurant chain in the U.S. These new openings will further strengthen its presence in the North Texas market.

Jobs, Hunger Relief, and Community Investment

The nine new restaurants are expected to create up to 900 full- and part-time jobs. To mark the openings, Chick-fil-A will donate to local Feeding America partner food banks. Each new restaurant will contribute $25,000 to support hunger relief in North Texas.

This expansion is also focused on fighting hunger. According to the Tarrant Area Food Bank, one in six North Texans experiences food insecurity. This also includes more than 442,000 children who lose access to school meals during the summer.

The new restaurants will also participate in Chick-fil-A’s Shared Table program. The company will also continue supporting local nonprofits through its True Inspiration Awards and students through its Remarkable Futures Scholarships.

The expansion will bring Chick-fil-A to several additional communities across the Dallas-Fort Worth area by the end of the year.
