Vida Mariscos is on the move! The family-owned Mexican seafood and sports bar is embarking on opening a location in Bayview. According to a recently filed permit, the new Vida Mariscos is expected to open in Baytown within the East Houston metropolitan area at 4717 INTERSTATE 10 HWY.
The permit further details that construction on the new Vida Mariscos is planned to start at the beginning of August and is slated to wrap up by mid-December. If all goes well with the $1.2 million construction project and permitting, the new Vida Mariscos should open by the end of this year or early next year.
The Cabrera family—Sergio Sr., his brother Manuel, and Sergio Jr.—launched the Vida Mariscos concept as a way to combine fresh, authentic Mexican seafood with a lively sports bar atmosphere. Over the years, the brand has expanded significantly across the region. This would be the fifth Vida Mariscos opening for the Cabreras. What Now Houston reached out to Sergio to find out more details about the ongoing expansion. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
“Welcome to Vida Mariscos, where the vibrant flavors of the Mexican coast come alive in the heart of Texas! We are a family-owned seafood restaurant dedicated to bringing you the freshest catches, prepared with authentic Mexican flair,” the Vida Mariscos website reads.
“Our menu is inspired by the coastal traditions of Mexico, offering everything from zesty ceviches to savory seafood tacos, all crafted with love and the finest ingredients. Come savor the sea, Texas-style!”
Known for operating the Los Cucos Mexican Cafe chain, the Cabreras expanded their empire by opening multiple Greater Houston-area locations of Vida Mariscos in Cypress, Katy, Rosenberg, and Webster. The Cabrera family’s success in Houston has even spurred expansions of the restaurant concept outside of Texas, bringing the brand to locations like Las Vegas, NV.
Try out the new Vida Mariscos when it opens in Baytown within the East Houston metropolitan area at 4717 INTERSTATE 10 HWY by the end of this year or early next year.
