Chef Joey Riley’s Mosaic Bistro & Pub has closed permanently in Chamblee. The restaurant was Chef Riley’s first venture after the closure of his longtime Kaleidoscope Bistro & Pub in Brookhaven.
Riley announced the news on social media, citing ongoing challenges as the reason for shutting down the restaurant. The restaurant temporarily closed on May 30 after construction disrupted access to the property.
The team posted, “We are heartbroken, but despite giving it everything we had, we simply could not overcome the obstacles we faced from the very beginning. While this chapter is ending far sooner than we ever hoped, we will always be grateful for the incredible support, encouragement, and love our community showed us.”
Mosaic Bistro & Pub described itself as a chef-driven neighborhood restaurant. The menu featured globally inspired comfort food served in a casual dining environment. According to the restaurant, the concept was designed as a gathering place for the local community.
The restaurant featured a modern dining room, bar, and spacious patio. Its menu featured Korean-style chicken dishes, Panang chicken curry, steak frites, and chicken schnitzel. Popular items included the pork & pimento cheese egg rolls, shrimp scampi spaghetti, and Tres Leches bread pudding.

Chef Riley announced the closure on June 30, prompting numerous reactions from customers on social media. He thanked the community and the property’s landlords for supporting the restaurant, “To everyone who visited Mosaic Bistro & Pub, shared a meal, had a drink, recommended us to a friend, or simply cheered us on—thank you. Your support meant more than you’ll ever know.”
Despite its short run, many customers expressed their appreciation for the restaurant following the announcement.
