Nespresso is embarking on bringing another boutique to Houston. According to a recently filed permit, Nespresso is expected to open in the Houston Galleria at 5085 Westheimer Road, Suite B3671.

The permit further details that construction is slated to start in September and wrap up towards the end of November. If all goes well with permitting and the estimated $1 million construction project, the new Nespresso retail store should open before the end of 2026.

“Work includes demolition of existing retail space within an existing mall space with an interior entry. Tenant work within the space will consist of (1) new partitions, (2) new HVAC equipment, new ductwork, new diffusers, and (3) new finishes,” the permit reads.

Interestingly enough, there’s already a boutique at the busy Simon Properties mall located at Suite B2862.

What Now Houston reached out to the Director of Retail at Nespresso US, Susanna Forteleoni Lozza, who confirmed the opening but was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.

“Be your own barista,” the Nespresso website reads.

“Elevate your every sip with expert recipes you can easily recreate at home.”

Nespresso was invented in 1975 by Nestlé engineer Eric Favre. The brand revolutionized coffee culture by introducing the world’s first portioned, encapsulated espresso system. Favre was inspired by a popular Roman coffee bar and designed a machine that used interval water pumping to properly oxygenate. The concept launched commercially in 1986.

There are now more than 802 Nespresso boutiques across 81 countries and 515 cities. In the US alone, there are 62 dedicated Nespresso standalone boutiques and retail locations. The opening coming to the Houston Galleria would be the fourth Nepresso to come to the Lone Star State.

While the boutiques serve as retail stores for the brand’s products that include coffee pods, coffee makers, milk frothers, and coffee accessories, customers can also often experience coffee tastings and grab sweet treats for purchase.

Nespresso is anticipated to open in the Houston Galleria at 5085 Westheimer Road, Suite B3671, before the end of this year.
