Lucca, an international Italian restaurant chain, opened its first Florida location at Doral Commons. The opening is a major step forward for CM Food Co., with a new version of the classic Italian trattoria in the West Miami area.
Lucca Trattoria Opens First Florida Location in Doral

Lucca, the modern trattoria operated by CM Food Co., officially opened its first Florida location on July 3. The restaurant serves house-made Italian dishes, pizzas, pastas, and desserts.
Lucca already serves diners in Aruba, Panama, and Venezuela. The new restaurant is part of a neighborhood retail center. The restaurant brings its Italian-inspired menu to diners in Doral.
According to the founders, Lucca was created to offer Italian hospitality in a contemporary setting. “Doral Commons felt like the perfect home for that vision, and we look forward to becoming a go-to destination for everything from casual lunches to special celebrations,” said the founders of Lucca.
Lucca is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The restaurant is in Doral Commons, a retail complex of over 138,000 square feet. A Publix store anchors the center. The open-air development opened in 2017. Since then, it has drawn a wide range of shopping, dining, fitness, and service businesses.

Inside the Restaurant and Its Menu

Lucca is a blend of traditional Italian cooking with modern dining. The restaurant will feature a selection of age-old recipes. The restaurant’s interiors are designed with Fior di latte mozzarella and San Marzano DOP tomatoes. House-made pastas and other Italian dishes are prepared using a blend of locally sourced produce and imported ingredients.
The kitchen is equipped with professional Italian-made equipment. These include a bronze die-cut pasta machine, a Marra Forni brick oven, and a Carpigiani gelato machine.
The restaurant’s interiors are designed in partnership with Totón Sánchez architectural studio. They bring the spirit of Tuscan hospitality. The warm neutral tones, natural wood finishes, pastel accents, and lush greenery help to create a welcoming atmosphere. A geometric black-and-white floor and a central bar serve as focal points.
The interior also features handmade ceramic decor, wooden lattice detailing, and acoustic ceiling panels. Outside, a pergola-covered terrace adds to the space. These elements add to the overall dining experience.
Lucca is a great addition to Doral Commons’ growing dining options, said Eric Hines. He is the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regional lead of asset management at Jamestown. “Lucca’s welcoming atmosphere paired with its approach to Italian cuisine makes it a natural fit to our lineup of offerings at the property.”
With its first Florida location, Lucca brings an established international concept to the Miami area.
