With a scoop shop at the Crystal River Shopping Center in Crystal River and a food truck bringing ice cream all over the area, Frozen in Time Gourmet Ice Cream is a brand that has taken one local family “From Shingles to Scoops.

“For years, our family was in the business of protection—running a local roofing company where the Florida sun was our biggest challenge,” says the Frozen in Time website. “We took pride in our work and our community, but after selling the business, we knew we wanted our next chapter to be about something a little different. We wanted to trade the toolbelts for something that made people smile. We spent months looking for the right opportunity. We explored dozens of industries, looking for a business that felt ‘right.’ Then, we saw it: Frozen in Time Ice Cream was for sale.”

Now, after purchasing the brand, the owners appear to be expanding it: submitted plan review documents indicate that another Frozen In Time location is in the works at 7810 US Hwy 19, Unit A, in Port Richey.

The menu at Frozen in Time ranges from ice cream flavors like Mango Ice Cream, to confections like the Dubai Chocolate Brownie Strawberry Sundae, to Boba Tea, to Pup Cups (treats for your canine best friend).

What Now reached out Friday to co-owner Randy Martin to ask about plans for a new Frozen in Time Gourmet Ice Cream in Port Richey. Martin was not immediately available for comment.

You can keep up with all things Frozen in Time by following the brand on Facebook.
