“Something new is coming to Downtown Sarasota,” says an Instagram post published by Calle Bistro—the new thing that’s coming to Downtown Sarasota. “Not just a restaurant… a whole experience.”

The new restaurant promises brunch, dinner, cocktails, and late night vibes; and according to submitted plan review documents, it’s opening at 1544 Main St.

The idea behind Calle Bistro is a dual approach: by day, expect coffee, brunch, dinner, and “good vibes.” By night, Calle Bistro will feature live DJs, cocktails, late night bites, and still those same good vibes. Opening in the Main Street location, Calle Bistro joins a wide range of restaurants, including Boca, Latin Quarters Restaurant on Main, Cask and Ale, and Lila.

What Now reached out on Friday to Abraham Ayala, the principal behind the Calle Bistro project. Ayala was not immediately available for comment.

Stay tuned for more details as Calle Bistro’s launch approaches.
