Tortilleria El Taquito Marisquero, a local Mexican seafood and taco restaurant with roots on Austin’s north side, is planning a new location in East Austin. According to public filings, the restaurant is set to occupy Building 1, Suite 108, at 14509 FM-969, with construction expected to be completed in October 2026.

What Now Austin reached out to Tortilleria El Taquito Marisquero representatives to inquire about further details on the new location, but did not receive a response prior to publication.

Tortilleria El Taquito Marisquero has built its reputation on fresh, handmade tortillas and a seafood-forward menu that includes caldo de mariscos, ceviche, and fajitas de pollo, alongside traditional tacos, catering to both quick-lunch crowds and sit-down diners. According to their webpage, the brand currently operates locations at 8610 N Lamar Blvd and 2825 FM 812 in Del Valle, with the FM-969 site marking a further expansion into East Austin’s growing residential corridor.

The address places the new restaurant inside Webberville Station, a neighborhood retail center at the signalized intersection of Webberville Road and Hunters Bend Road in the Del Valle area of East Austin. The corner sees heavy daily traffic from both roads, and the space has previously housed other food and retail tenants, making it an established commercial stop for residents in the surrounding Travis County community.
