Restaurant to join rest of block in redevelopment.
In April, plans were filed with City of Atlanta for renovations to the Garden Hills Fellini’s property.
On Tuesday, May 31, owner Clay Harper appeared before the Zoning Committee of Neighborhood Planning Unit-B to present plans for a new Fellini’s to be built at the site, Buckhead View reports.
The new restaurant would stand in place of the current one, in a corner spot at Peachtree and Rumson roads. Brand Properties is currently in the process of renovating the rest of the block.
The restaurant would be oriented toward Rumson though pedestrian entrances are planned to face Peachtree. The new 4,500 square-foot Fellini’s would also include both covered and surface parking for 25 cars and a new outdoor dining area.
Rezoning requests will be on NPU-B’s Zoning Committee agenda on June 28 and plans will go before the full NPU-B board on July 5.
Plans for renovation at the block first began after the Garden Hills Shopping center on the property experienced significant fire damage in 2013 and was subsequently demolished.

So is La Fonda going to reopen or is it out for good?
Looks squeaky clean, like it should be in the suburbs….I like the funky vibe of the current location.
The pizza sure is tasty!
More neighborhood encroachment!
