California-based activewear brand Vuori is preparing to make its San Antonio debut with a new storefront at The Shops at La Cantera, according to the San Antonio Business Journal.

The athleisure retailer has filed plans to open at 15900 La Cantera Parkway, Suite 1190, according to project details filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The store will occupy an existing 4,795-square-foot retail space next to the Apple store.

Brian Schroeder, senior general manager for The Shops at La Cantera, told the San Antonio Business Journal that Vuori is targeting an opening in February or March 2027. Construction is expected to begin in October, with the renovation of the existing retail space estimated at $1.3 million.

The new store will mark Vuori’s first location in San Antonio, expanding the brand’s presence in Texas. Vuori currently operates two locations in Austin, five in the Houston area and four across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Founded by Joe Kudla in 2015, Vuori initially launched as a men’s activewear brand before expanding its offerings to include athletic and performance apparel for both men and women.

The Shops at La Cantera is also preparing to welcome several new retail concepts, including The House of Creed, Jo Malone, Amiri, Dolce & Gabbana, Herman Miller and Arhaus, adding to the shopping centre’s evolving tenant lineup.

Vuori said it could not provide additional details about the upcoming San Antonio location.

WhatNow San Antonio reached out to Vuori for comment but had not received a response at the time of publication. We will provide additional updates as the brand moves closer to opening its first Alamo City store.
