A new Williams Sonoma store is planned for Columbus at 3985 Gramercy St., adding the home furnishings and kitchen retailer to the area, according to the Easton Town Center.
The upcoming location will be part of Williams-Sonoma Inc., the specialty retailer behind brands including Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Pottery Barn Teen, West Elm, Rejuvenation and Mark & Graham. Williams-Sonoma Inc. describes itself as a retailer of high-quality products for the home.
Founded in 1956, Williams Sonoma began as a store in Sonoma, California, selling French cookware that founder Chuck Williams discovered during a trip to Europe. The brand has since grown into a retailer focused on cooking, entertaining and the home.
Williams Sonoma’s product range includes cookware, kitchen tools, cutlery, small appliances, bakeware and food, as well as tabletop and bar products, home essentials, outdoor and garden items and furniture.
The retailer also carries products from a variety of well-known kitchen and home brands, alongside its own collections. Its offerings are designed for both everyday cooking and entertaining, with products ranging from professional-quality cookware and kitchen tools to tabletop pieces and home décor.
In addition to merchandise, Williams Sonoma offers services and experiences including cooking classes, tastings, in-store events, wedding and gift registries, design services and knife sharpening.
The brand has also expanded beyond the kitchen through Williams Sonoma Home, which offers furniture, lighting and decorative accessories for other areas of the home.
The Columbus location at 3985 Gramercy St. is expected to add to Williams Sonoma’s presence in the market. Details about the upcoming store, including its size, anticipated opening date and what prompted the expansion, were not immediately available.
