Burger King, the quick-service restaurant chain, is set to undergo a remodel in Galveston at 5815 Broadway Ave. J, Suite 1.

The existing 2,700-square-foot restaurant is scheduled for renovations beginning November 22, 2026, with completion expected March 22, 2027, according to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The project has an estimated cost of $550,000 and is privately funded. The restaurant is owned by Dhanani Group, Inc.

The work will bring the restaurant into compliance with Burger King’s Sizzle Standards, according to the filing. The scope includes upgrades to the dining area and exterior elevation, along with modifications to the HVAC and electrical systems as required.

The Sizzle design is part of Burger King’s broader restaurant update program. The company has described the format as a new approach to its restaurant design, with a focus on updated customer experiences and restaurant operations. The Sizzle concept is intended for both new Burger King locations and remodels.

Dhanani Group is a quick service restaurant franchise development group that owns and operates Burger King, Popeyes, and La Madeleine locations. The company began in the gas and convenience store business in 1976 and became a Burger King franchisee in 1994 with its first co-branded restaurant in Houston. Based in Sugar Land, Texas, Dhanani Group currently operates hundreds of quick-service restaurants across several markets.

Burger King has been serving its signature flame-grilled burgers since 1954 and currently operates restaurants in more than 100 countries and US territories. The Galveston renovation will update the existing restaurant while retaining the Burger King location at 5815 Broadway Ave. J, Suite 1.
