Potbelly to Open First Georgia Location in Chamblee
Potbelly Sandwich Shop is making its Georgia debut on September 1 at Peachtree Station Shopping Center in Chamblee. The opening will mark the brand’s entry into the Georgia market and the start of a larger expansion.
According to a report by QSR Magazine, the move is significant to the brand’s long-term growth. Potbelly plans to continue expansion across metro Atlanta through company-owned and franchised locations. It has also partnered with a multi-unit operator to open 15 Potbelly locations across the market over the next seven years.
Potbelly is a popular fast-casual restaurant chain best known for its oven-toasted sandwiches. It has positioned itself as a neighborhood sandwich shop with its casual and welcoming atmosphere. It was acquired by RaceTrac in 2025, which is headquartered in Atlanta.
Grand Opening Details
According to the QSR Magazine report, Potbelly will celebrate the grand opening of its Chamblee location on September 19. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until noon. The celebrations will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The first 50 guests in line will receive Free Potbelly for a Year. The event will also include Plinko games, prizes, merchandise, balloons, and giveaways.
The new location will serve Potbelly’s menu of toasted sandwiches, wraps, salads, hand-dipped shakes, and cookies. Customers can order for pickup, delivery, or catering. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
