Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers expands its menu lineup by adding four bacon-themed products. Offered as part of its upcoming ‘Bacon Fest,’ the rollout features limited-time items, which are set to be available at participating U.S. locations.
Freddy’s Adds Four Items to Bacon Fest Lineup
According to PR Newswire, the fresh offerings include two steakburger items, a loaded side, and a frozen custard dessert. The bacon-focused items will be available at the fast-casual restaurant chain’s participating locations from September 2 through November 3.
Smoky Bacon Cheddar Stack – This item features two hand-pressed steakburger patties. The topping includes four Applewood bacon slices, grilled onions, and melted cheddar cheese. Its burger is placed onto a toasted King’s Hawaiian bun and is served with the chain’s Smoky Fry Sauce. The product is returning after its debut last summer.
Smoky Bacon Steakburger Taco – This menu addition combines a steakburger patty with cheddar cheese, Smoky Fry Sauce, a bacon slice, and lettuce. All of these are wrapped in a grilled flour tortilla.
Bacon Loaded Tots – This side product includes cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses and cheese sauce, and is finished off with crumbled bacon.
Maple Pecan Concrete – This sweet treat offers a mix of the chain’s vanilla frozen custard, pecans, and maple pancake syrup. Customers can add bacon to the Concrete, either as a topping or directly into the custard.
Fans can order the items in Freddy’s restaurants and through the drive-thru. They can also use pickup and delivery options through the chain’s mobile app and website.
Rick Petralia, the company’s Executive Chef and VP of Training & Innovation, said the Bacon Fest allows the chain to give its signature menu items a new twist while highlighting bacon. He emphasized the returning item Smoky Bacon Cheddar Stack, along with new options such as the Maple Pecan Concrete.
Founded in 2002, Freddy’s operates at more than 580 locations across the U.S. and Canada. The Wichita, Kansas-based chain serves steakburgers, fries, all-beef hot dogs, and frozen custard. Currently, it is positioned sixth on Fast Casual’s Top 100 Movers + Shakers, 60th on Technomic’s Top 500, and 85th on Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500.
