The taco and tequila business’ sixth location is on the way to the city’s south end.
A new Que Onda Tacos + Tequila is reportedly coming to a new location in Montford at 1515 Mockingbird Lane. This will be the company’s flagship restaurant. Right now, it is looking like the team will debut the new taco spot sometime early next year.
Currently, Que Onda Tacos has five locations in Charlotte, Huntersville and Matthews. It was started by Manny Flores from Que Hospitality in 2014, originally debuting the concept in Uptown. The team is again staying in city limits this time.
From an Axios article, the space will be 64 seats, have a 44-seat bar and an additional 70-seat outdoor patio. Those dining in can expect a very similar menu, with taco options like the birria with melted cheese, onion, cilantro and beef broth. Traditional plates like pollo enchiladas and carne asada are also served. Their drink menu is available online.
The restaurant will be on the north side of Mockingbird Lane, across from concepts like L’Ostrica, Hamachi and Waterbean Coffee. It is accessible by going left or right on Park Road. This is just south of Park Road Shopping Center.
