Bojangles is getting ready to spice up Flamingo Road. According to a recently filed Clark County permit, the fast-food restaurant chain known for Cajun-seasoned fried chicken and made-from-scratch buttermilk biscuits is planning to open a location in Central West Las Vegas at 3685 W Flamingo Rd.
The address sits at the intersection of West Flamingo Road and South Valley View Boulevard, across from the Rio Hotel & Casino. The standalone commercial parcel historically housed an Outback Steakhouse, which is now permanently closed. The plan is to open the next Bojangles at the site this fall.
What Now Las Vegas spoke with the Senior Vice President of Operations at the LV Foodservice Concepts and Las Vegas Petroleum Restaurant Group, Jeanette Davis, about the upcoming opening. The group is behind a few of the Bojangles openings. Davis confirmed the opening and shared exciting news about further expansion.

Bojangles was founded in Charlotte, North Carolina, on July 6, 1977, by veteran restaurant operators Jack Fulk and Richard Thomas. The founders named the restaurant after hearing the famous song “Mr. Bojangles” on the radio, which was originally written by Jerry Jeff Walker in 1968 and made famous by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. The original walk-in restaurant opened on West Boulevard in Charlotte with no indoor seating, designed to showcase the quality of their food.
Following the success of the initial site, the company began franchising the concept in 1978, expanding rapidly across the Southeast through the 1980s and 1990s. There are now more than 850 Bojangles locations operating across the United States, with at least five in Nevada, all in the Las Vegas Valley.
