What The Fizz, a custom soda shop specializing in handcrafted dirty soda mixes, is getting ready to open its first Greater Los Angeles location in Sherman Oaks at 15011 Ventura Blvd.
The company is set to open in Fall 2026 in the former home of DV Brows & Permanent Makeup, according to information shared by WhatsNewSFV and the company’s website. The Sherman Oaks location will offer customizable sodas made with carbonated beverages, flavor syrups, creamy add-ons, and toppings. Owner Alex Hidalgo tells WhatNow Los Angeles that this new concept is expected to make its debut sometime in mid-October 2026, although an exact opening date has yet to be announced.
What The Fizz describes itself as Los Angeles’ first custom sips shop, with a menu centered on personalized drinks. Customers can choose from signature handcrafted sodas or build their own combination using premium flavors, creamy mix-ins, and toppings.
The company’s menu is currently listed as coming soon. The company says its drinks and treats will use ingredients including crisp carbonated sodas, premium flavor syrups, creamy mixers, fresh toppings, and baked treats. Its food options will include freshly baked cookies and protein ball packs.
What The Fizz is preparing for its first location in the Greater Los Angeles area and is currently hiring part-time Sodaristas ahead of the opening. According to the company, the positions will offer flexible schedules and will involve preparing drinks and connecting with customers. The hiring effort is part of the company’s preparations for its Sherman Oaks launch.
The company also describes What The Fizz as a place where families, friends, and community members can spend time together while enjoying customizable drinks and treats. Its website encourages customers to sign up for updates about new menu drops, exclusive offers, upcoming events, and other announcements.
