Viva Liquors is preparing to open at 2527 N. 32nd St. in Phoenix, according to an owner-transfer application filed with the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control.

Owner Issam Awad told What Now Phoenix that he expects to have an exact opening date within the next two weeks.

The application identifies Viva Liquors LLC as the new owner, with Awad listed as the company’s sole member and manager. The filing concerns the transfer of an existing liquor license, originally issued in March 1986.

Viva Liquors is seeking a Series 9 license for retail sales of beer, wine, and spirits. The application states that the property has a drive-through window. A separate floor plan outlines a 3,000-square-foot store with product aisles, coolers, a register, and storage space.

What Now Phoenix will update this article when Awad confirms the opening date.
