Handies Douzo is embarking on another Greater Houston region opening. According to a recently filed Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation permit, the brand’s fourth sushi bar is expected to open in the Southside Place neighborhood at 3908 Bellaire Blvd.

The permit further details that construction of the new Handies Duozo sushi bar is expected to start in November and wrap up in April of next year. If all goes well with permitting and the estimated $500,000 construction project, the new Handies Douzo to come to the Southside Place neighborhood should open by spring 2027.

The new Japanese eatery is planned to open in a standalone former Jack in the Box drive-thru restaurant site located near the intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and Stella Link Road.

The upcoming restaurant is one of the latest for Duckstache Hospitality, the restaurant group behind Aiko and Kokoro. The restaurant group, co-founded by Daniel LeeC.J. Short, and Patrick Pham, currently operates five Handies Douzos locations, including one in the Heights, Montrose, and Spring Branch.
