According to a recent article, bakery Uniquely Made Treats will move into a brick and mortar space at 2864 N High St, in Clintonville. Owned by Kayla Maxwell, a self-taught baker, Uniquely Made Treats has previously operated as a home-based business, selling cookies and cupcakes to customers at events like the Reynoldsburg and White Hall farmers markets.

And after pausing her business last summer, Maxwell recently announced on social media that she is relaunching Uniquely Made Treats out of a ghost kitchen at the High Street Kitchens space. The brick and mortar location will give her the space she needs to be able to keep up with demand, have extra room for storage and allow her to use the kind of equipment that just doesn’t work in a home kitchen.

Maxwell shared with What Now Columbus that the new space also means the bakery’s menu will expand. In addition to the core offerings of 4.5 ounce cookies, cupcakes and chocolate covered items, such as pretzels, the High Street location will also sell cheesecake cups, a layered treat that comes in flavors like Biscoff cookie butter, strawberry crunch and banana pudding, with flavors that rotate as the seasons change.

With the new location, the bakery will also offer whole eight-inch layer cakes and catering, both of which can be ordered using the business’s website. Guests can grab items from the bakery for takeaway, enjoy them onsite at the communal dining area at High Street Kitchens or choose a delivery option through a third-party delivery system. Uniquely Made Treats will operate out of the High Street location Monday through Saturday from noon to 8 p.m., as well as continue to appear at area farmers markets and pop-up events.

The bakery is planning to launch July 20, and plans are underway for opening day offerings. Follow the business on Facebook and Instagram to learn more as the opening day approaches.
