Local cookie spot Fit for a Cookie looks to be joining the Common Ground development taking shape along the Beltline. Owner Craig Bravo told What Now Atlanta that he is targeting a March 2027 opening in a 500-square-foot space at the development.
Bravo launched Fit for a Cookie initially as an online store. He would also sell cookies at Georgia State University, where he is a student. In 2024, he opened his flagship store at Colony Square.
“We’ve really built an amazingly deep rooted community within Atlanta,” Bravo said. “I’m the owner and executive baker. I started my company on Georgia State campus, and the Beltline is really right next to it. When I saw the space [at Common Ground] was available, it was a sign to just go forward.”
The shop offers specialty gourmet cookies, including vanilla bean chocolate chip cookies, red velvet and toasted s’mores cookies.
With the larger space, Bravo will be able to expand flavor offerings. He plans to include more glazes, sauces and other flavor profiles in his cookie creations. There will likely be more limited-edition flavors for customers to try.
“Our cookies have been an amazing vehicle to make amazing connections with so many different people. I love seeing so many people enjoy what I create,” Bravo said. “The goal is to spread that and allow our brand to be synonymous with an amazing cookie experience, as it is now. I want to be known as the best place to go to to have the best quality cookie possible.”
Eventually, Bravo would like to continue to expand, perhaps toward the North Georgia area.
