QYN Coffee is planning additional locations in the Bay Area. One of them will be operated by franchisee Shilpy Arora, who is currently searching for a site in the city. Arora told WhatNow that the Fremont location will be the couple’s first QYN Coffee franchise. She is currently considering several potential sites but has not selected an address or established an opening date.

Arora said her connection to Fremont was one of the reasons she wanted to bring the brand to the city. She previously lived there for about 10 years after moving to the United States from India and described Fremont as a place that holds personal significance for her.

“I wanted to bring that piece to Fremont,” Arora said, referring to her connection to the community.

Arora also has experience in the local food and beverage industry. She currently operates an ice cream and tea shop in Hayward, and said the QYN Coffee franchise will allow her to expand into coffee and matcha.  She said the quality of QYN Coffee’s products was an important factor in her decision to pursue the franchise. Arora specifically pointed to the brand’s coffee, as well as its guidance on sourcing and preparing products such as matcha and hojicha.

QYN Coffee was founded by Elaine Le. The coffee brand is centered on Vietnamese coffee traditions and modern preparation. Through QYN Coffee, Le has developed a menu featuring Vietnamese phin coffee alongside espresso drinks, matcha, hojicha, and specialty beverages.

The brand opened a new location at 488 E. 17th St., Suite B102, in Costa Mesa, expanding its presence in Southern California as well.

According to QYN Coffee’s website, the brand focuses on Vietnamese coffee traditions and modern coffee preparation. Its menu includes Vietnamese phin-dripped coffee made with beans sourced from Vietnam’s Dak Lak and Lam Dong regions, along with espresso drinks, matcha, hojicha, and specialty beverages.
