Donatos Pizza is working on another Greater Houston region opening. According to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation permit, the new Donatos Pizza is expected to open within The Shops at Rocky Creek Crossing in Missouri City, at 7260 State Highway 6.
The permit further details that construction is already underway and is slated to be completed by the end of March 2027. If all goes well with permitting and the estimated $405,800 construction project, the new Donatos Pizza should open before the end of next Spring.
“Tenant Improvement for new pizza franchise restaurant. New partitions and ceiling, new kitchen equipment, and grease trap; new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and fixtures. New restrooms and plumbing fixtures. New lighting,” the permit for the new 2,200-square-foot eatery reads.
What Now Houston briefly spoke with Donatos Pizza franchisee Viswant Korrapati, who was listed on the permit and confirmed the upcoming opening. Unfortunately, Korrapati was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.
“From the very beginning, our pizza love has been driven by People Love,” the Donatos Pizza website reads.
“The love of relationships. Seeing people together around pizza. Friends, families, coworkers, and communities. Oh, and that sincere level of passion and care also drives us to make really, really good pizza. So, win-win.”
Donatos began operating in Gahanna, Ohio, in 1963. Founder Jim Grote purchased a Columbus pizza shop at 19 and built it into the family-centered business you see today. There are now about 460 Donatos Pizza locations across 29 states. Its foray into Texas started just last year, with the Frisco location kicking off operations in the Lone Star State. According to a recent QSR Magazine article, the brand is just getting started with its expansion in the market.

According to the company’s website, Donatos’ three-part mission is to craft top-quality pizza, build a strong team, and give back to the community. Donatos literally means “to give a good thing” in Latin, a perfect moniker for the community-based, family-centered pizza joint.
