Ella’s Coffee House is opening a new location at 1520 N Federal Hwy., Suite 500, in Fort Lauderdale, extending a South Florida footprint that’s grown steadily since the brand’s start as a neighborhood coffee shop in Plantation back in 2016. The new café will carry the same formula that’s carried Ella’s through its expansion: freshly roasted coffee, handcrafted drinks, house-made syrups and pastries baked on-site.
What sets Ella’s apart from a typical coffee chain is how little it outsources. The company roasts and grinds its own beans, makes all of its flavored syrups and pastries in-house, and sells its signature coffee blends for customers to brew at home, an approach that has helped it build a loyal following well beyond its original Plantation storefront.
The Fort Lauderdale location joins an existing lineup of cafés in Coral Springs, Davie and Boynton Beach, along with a presence inside Hard Rock Stadium, giving the brand a mix of neighborhood shops and high-traffic venues across Broward and Palm Beach counties. Ten years after opening its first location, the company continues to expand without straying from the small-batch, made-in-house model that built its reputation.
The new café puts Ella’s directly on one of Fort Lauderdale’s busiest commercial corridors, positioning it to draw both regulars from nearby neighborhoods and passersby along Federal Highway looking for something beyond a standard drive-thru coffee stop.
