AutoZone plans to open a store at 1101 NE Green Oaks Blvd. in Arlington, according to a project filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The company intends to remodel 7,128 square feet for the store. The filing lists construction from August through October 2027. An opening date has not been announced.
AutoZone sells replacement parts and maintenance products for cars, SUVs, vans, and light-duty trucks.
Its inventory includes batteries, brakes, engine oil, filters, spark plugs, wiper blades, tools, and accessories. The stores also offer battery testing and installation, check-engine-light diagnostics, tool loans, and recycling services.
The company began as Auto Shack, opening its first store in Forrest City, Arkansas, in 1979. It adopted the AutoZone name in 1987. Today, the company operates more than 8,000 stores across the U.S., Mexico, and Brazil.
