Large fast-food chains are not the only options for burgers in the Sunshine State.
Back Yard Burgers is expanding in Central Florida, with a new location at 8430 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee. The Mississippi-based chain has around six locations around the country and is again looking to grow. Franchise owner Corey Balzer said the team is about three weeks away from opening pending final approval.
The other Back Yard Burgers location to Orlando is Altamonte Springs. This would be their second Florida restaurant, with the rest in Mississippi, Tennessee and Illinois. Other Florida restaurants look to be in the works as well.
Menus at the locations feature classic burgers with options like black jack, mushroom swiss, bacon cheddar and Southwest BBQ. Other than burgers, chicken sandwiches and tenders are also served, along with salads like their cherry pecan salad. Sides include seasoned fries, a chili cheese dog and back yard chili.
The building is on the south end of W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, across from The Reserve Golf Course. Other chains at this stretch include McDonald’s, Domino’s and Pizza Hut. This area is about 30 miles southwest of downtown Orlando.
What Now Orlando is awaiting comment from the team at the Kissimmee location.
