Five Guys, a fast-casual burger restaurant, plans new locations in Ocoee at 10572 W. Colonial Drive and in St. Cloud at 880 E. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway.

The Ocoee restaurant will open in the former home of The Original Mattress Factory in late fourth quarter 2026, followed by the St. Cloud location in late first quarter 2027, according to the Orlando Business Journal. Both restaurants will be the first Five Guys locations in their respective cities. Darven Erickson, CEO of Utah-based North Star Dining USA Inc., operates the Five Guys franchise in the Orlando market and previously said he planned to open eight additional locations in the region.

The planned restaurants follow the recent opening of Five Guys at Universal Orlando Resort’s CityWalk on September 25. That restaurant marked Erickson’s 18th Five Guys location in the Orlando market and the first of the eight additional locations he had planned. His company acquired 17 Five Guys restaurants from former franchisee Brandon Bengel in September 2025.

Erickson’s expansion plans extend beyond the two upcoming restaurants, with the company evaluating additional opportunities throughout the Orlando region. The CityWalk location hired between 75 and 100 employees and began training staff in May ahead of its opening. The operator’s continued expansion will add Five Guys restaurants in communities where the chain does not currently have a location.

Five Guys serves burgers made with fresh, hand-formed patties, along with all-beef hot dogs, sandwiches, and boardwalk-style fries. Each restaurant hand-cuts the fries and cooks them in 100 percent refined peanut oil, and customers can choose between Five Guys and Cajun-style fries. The menu also includes milkshakes with a variety of mix-ins.

Five Guys opened its first restaurant in Arlington, Virginia, in 1986 and began offering franchise opportunities in 2003. The upcoming Ocoee and St. Cloud restaurants will continue the brand’s expansion in the Orlando market while giving customers in both cities a new Five Guys location.
