An authentic Italian pizzeria, Slice of Venice in the Spring region, is preparing to say goodbye. The pizzeria will serve its final slice of pizza next week and mark the end of its nearly two-year journey in the community.

Slice of Venice Announces Closure

Well-known for its handcrafted pizzas and homemade pastas, Slice of Venice has built a strong following in the community. The family-owned Italian restaurant and pizzeria, located at 5275 Louetta Road in Spring, Texas, is a neighborhood staple for authentic Italian dining.

In a Facebook post, the restaurant team shared the heartbreaking news of its closure with an emotional farewell message. The team behind the restaurant stated, “Our last day will be Sunday, October 18, 2026.”

According to the owners, the restaurant became financially unsustainable after nearly two years in business. “We are no longer able to keep our doors open,” said the owners.

“From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank every one of you for your support, kindness, encouragement, and love,” the team wrote.

The owners encouraged customers to visit the restaurant before it closes.

About the Restaurant

Slice of Venice was founded by Inna, who is originally from Ukraine, and her husband, inspired by their travels through Italy. The restaurant serves Italian dishes, including pizza and pasta.

Before announcing the permanent closure, the restaurant was closed for a short reset from August 15 thru the 22nd. However, they were back at business by August 23rd.

The announcement drew responses from customers on social media. One customer wrote, “So very much hate to hear this. Will get in again for pizza, breadsticks, bolognese & my favorite marinara sauce! Yes we will want extra!! Only wish we had found you sooner. Best of luck to you all.”

Even though short-lived, Slice of Venice has created a lasting impression in the Texas dining community.
