A Hollywood sushi and hand roll bar from the group behind IKI Ramen + Sushi plans to open a new location in Palms. According to Toddrickallen, IKI Nori plans to open at 3688 Overland Ave., in the corner space of the new Venue development.
IKI Nori describes itself as a hand roll and sushi bar where “hand rolls rule & good vibes flow.” It celebrates Japanese culture while offering “elevated hospitality & approachable luxury.”
The restaurant is currently located at 6464 Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, and is operated by IKI Hospitality, a Los Angeles-based restaurant group behind several dining concepts, including IKI Ramen + Sushi, AKAMI Sushi, and Padi Indonesian.
What Now Los Angeles reached out to master sommelier and founder of IKI Hospitality Jeffry Undiarto, who confirmed that the team is targeting next year for the opening. “We’re thinking next year, maybe at quarter one or two,” he said, pointing to the first or second quarter of 2027.
Regarding new location, Undiarto said the decision was made with guests’ convenience in mind. “Since we opened IKI Ramen in 2018, a lot of our regulars have been from the Westside. So we decided to bring IKI closer to them,” he said.
The new space will also introduce a first for IKI Hospitality, bringing IKI Ramen + Sushi and IKI Nori together under one roof. “It gives us room to do something we haven’t done before: IKI Ramen + Sushi and IKI Nori together. You can come for a casual bowl of ramen or sit at the hand roll bar,” Undiarto told What Now Los Angeles.
What Now Los Angeles has also tracked other changes along the same stretch of Overland Avenue. The outlet previously reported on Cafe Starlings, a new concept from Overland Hospitality planned for the former Overland Cafe space at 3601 S. Overland Ave. It also covered Mee & Greet’s plans to relocate to the same address after closing its longtime location at 3500 Overland Ave.
