Fayetteville is preparing to welcome a new rooftop dining destination, with a tapas-style restaurant and bar planned for Cape Fear Regional Theatre’s expanded 1209 Stages complex. According to Business Fayetteville, the concept, called Brava, will debut in January 2027 at 1209 Hay Street.
The restaurant will combine shareable dishes, craft cocktails, and live entertainment, accommodating approximately 60 guests. Brava’s menu will emphasize tapas, allowing diners to choose from a selection of smaller dishes and larger plates, as well as desserts.
Its beverage program will have craft cocktails, rotating drinks inspired by theatre productions, and premium spirits. Guests can also expect domestic and international wines, beer, cider, and nonalcoholic mixed drinks.
Part of a broader redevelopment project at the complex, over $25 million has been invested in the theatre’s future. The project will increase the facility from roughly 20,000 to 40,000 square feet, with expanded performance and educational spaces, an enlarged lobby, event areas, upgraded production facilities, and dedicated parking.
Leading the food and beverage program at Brava is Brian Graybill, a local restaurateur with nearly two decades of experience in restaurant leadership and hospitality concept development.
Graybill owns Napkins Restaurant in Hope Mills, along with Pan and Market Square Pantry in downtown Fayetteville, Graybill Hospitality Co.’s website shares. His company also handles restaurant consulting, menu development, event planning, restaurant design, and concept creation.
