Chicken Salad Chick is planning a new restaurant at 220 W. Frontier Parkway, Suite 100, in Celina, according to a recently registered Texas construction project.
The project, listed under registration number, calls for a $400,000 interior renovation of an approximately 1,500-square-foot space. Construction is scheduled to begin Jan. 5, 2027, with completion targeted for March 21, 2027.
According to the filing, the work will be limited to the interior, with no exterior modifications or change of use proposed. The project is privately funded by the tenant.
Centra Frontier Realty LLC is listed as the property owner, with Raghukmar Kommaraju named as the contact. Casey Anderson filed the project, and 1Architecture LLC, based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is listed as the design firm.
The filing does not identify the local restaurant operator or provide a confirmed opening date.
Founded in 2008 by Stacy and Kevin Brown in Auburn, Alabama, Chicken Salad Chick began when Stacy Brown started preparing chicken salad at home. The couple later opened their first restaurant and began franchising the concept in 2012.
The fast-casual chain specializes in freshly prepared, Southern-style chicken salad, offering more than a dozen flavors alongside signature sandwiches, soups, sides, pimento cheese and desserts. The menu includes varieties ranging from traditional chicken salad to fruit-filled, savory and spicy options.
Chicken Salad Chick has expanded into a multistate restaurant brand, with more than 350 locations reported by the company across 27 states. Its restaurants focus on made-from-scratch food and Southern hospitality.
The planned Celina location would add another potential dining option to the growing area along Frontier Parkway.
More details about the local franchisee and the restaurant’s opening timeline have not yet been announced.
What Now reached out to the company for additional information but had not received a response at the time of publication. This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
