An island-inspired frozen treat concept is heading to San Pedro’s waterfront. According to a press release shared with What Now, Sno Swell plans to join West Harbor, the $500 million, 42-acre waterfront development.

What Now Los Angeles reached out to Andrew Miller, manager of Sno Swell LLC, to inquire about the opening timeline but did not receive a response before press time.

Sno Swell specializes in Hawaiian-style shave ice made with real fruit purées. Its menu also features soft-serve yogurt, pineapple Dole Whip, chocolate-dipped bananas and specialty beverages, bringing a selection of tropical-inspired treats to the waterfront destination.

The concept will add another option for visitors looking to cool off while exploring West Harbor’s growing collection of dining and entertainment offerings.

The addition is part of West Harbor’s continued expansion as a destination along the Los Angeles waterfront.

The development is bringing together restaurants, retail, recreation and entertainment in San Pedro, with more tenants expected to open as the project progresses.

What Now Los Angeles has followed the development’s tenant lineup for years. This outlet previously reported on Bark Social’s planned West Coast debut at West Harbor and covered the arrival of San Antonio’s Hopscotch Immersive Art Experience at 1190 Nagoya Way.

What Now Los Angeles also reported on Mike Hess Brewing’s first Los Angeles location, planned with a 20,000-square-foot beer garden.
