Local Hive Pizza Co. plans to open at Jefferson House in downtown Peoria, Phoenix New Times reports. Owner Jamin Dunn told What Now Phoenix that he hopes to open in mid- to late November 2026. An exact date has not been set.
The family-owned business previously operated as Plan Bee Pizza, catering weddings and other events across Arizona. Its mobile wood-fired oven allowed the team to prepare pizzas on site.
In a video announcing the restaurant, the team said it had sold thousands of pizzas at large venues across the Phoenix area. Customers often asked where they could find its restaurant. The Jefferson House location will be the business’s first permanent home.
Founded in 2023, the business makes wood-fired pizzas. Its existing menu includes The Stinger, a pepperoni pizza finished with hot honey, along with other pizzas and Italian-inspired appetizers.
Jefferson House is at 8310 W. Jefferson Street. The complex is a partnership between the team behind The Churchill in downtown Phoenix and local hospitality operators, working with the city of Peoria.
The project will have restaurant kitchens and shops around a shared courtyard, with covered seating for 300-plus people. The plan also includes a bar, live music stage, and splash pad.
