GolfTRK is continuing to expand its reach across the Greater Houston region. According to the team behind the premier member-based indoor golf brand, GolfTRK is expected to open in Clear Lake at 2323 Clear Lake City Blvd., Suite 210, by early 2027.

“GolfTRK is an affordable training facility to help golfers of all levels improve their game. It is also equipped with the latest technology to help beginners learn the fundamentals of golf and experienced golfers how to fine tune all aspects of their game,” GolfTRK franchisee Jose Rodriguez said in an interview with What Now Houston.

“We plan on having a grand opening but have not worked out the details at this time. I’m sure we will have a food vendor, door prizes, and
a bunch of fun golf games for the attendees to enjoy the facility and what it has to offer.”

The new GolfTRK will open inside the Bay Pointe Shopping Center, formerly anchored by a Randalls grocery store. Notable tenants include The UPS Store and various local retail and service shops.

“The Clear Lake location is a great, established community with a great golf community. They have Bay Oaks County Club a private golf course within the community and multiple other private and public golf courses within a 7 mile radius,” Rodriguez said.

“Timber Creek Golf Club, Bay Oaks Country Club, South Shore Golf Course, Golfcrest Country Club, Battleground Golf Course, Magnolia Creek Country Club, and Pasadena Municipal Golf Course. There are also two major golf retail centers PGA SuperStore and Golf Galaxy and Top Golf Webster is a short drive away on 45 south.”

Alex Reed founded the indoor golf training and franchise concept with Matt Williams, Sam Collins, and Paul Buonopane in 2023. As avid golfers, the co-founders noticed that existing indoor golf spaces focused entirely on entertainment, bars, and food rather than genuine player improvement. GolfTRK facilities prioritize swing analytics, club fitting, and PGA-certified coaching over casual entertainment.

“GolfTRK is the best place to get better at golf,” Reed said in an earlier interview with What Now.
“It’s a facility focused on dialing in your swing, getting in the reps you need, and actually seeing the data behind every shot, so you’re not just guessing at what’s working. Whether you’re picking up a club for the first time or you’ve been playing for decades, it’s built to meet you wherever you’re starting from.”
Their first location sold out of memberships in just four months, proving the demand for a data- and training-focused model. GolfTRK has since become an official TrackMan Preferred Franchise Partner, using Tour-grade TrackMan simulator hardware and PuttView augmented-reality putting greens.
“The members are treated like family by dedicated PGA professionals, which provides a different feel to a GolfTRK facility than the entertainment-focused indoor golf facilities,” Rodriguez said.
Operating under parent company Albatross Golf, the brand quickly scaled into a multi-state franchise, with units sold across Texas, Nebraska, and Kansas. In September 2026, GolfTRK opened its flagship headquarters in Prairie Village, Kansas, featuring eight TrackMan bays and a massive PuttView green. GolfTRK now has more than 60 franchise units sold or in development nationwide, and when asked about further expansion plans, Reed simply replied, “Never say never.”
“We are focused on opening this facility and making sure that we provide the Clear Lake community with their best golf experience,” Rodriguez said.
“The biggest challenge has been ME as a new business owner. There is so much effort that goes into opening a business and I am glad that the GolfTRK team has been there along the way to make the process easier.”
GolfTRK now has six open locations, including one in Coppell, Texas, with three under construction and 33 coming soon.
“GolfTRK is comprised of amateurs and professionals who are dedicated to honing their game. You won’t find anywhere else like it or any other community that’s as ready and excited to facilitate your growth as a player,” Reed said.
“We’ve kept retail intentional rather than trying to be a pro shop. You’ll find branded merch, some curated gear, the stuff our members actually want, but we’ve never wanted a wall of inventory that needs full-time staff to manage.”
GolfTRK is anticipated to open in Clear Lake at 2323 Clear Lake City Blvd., Suite 210. Suite 210 by early 2027.
“We are hoping to provide the Clear Lake community a great golf training facility and not just another hang-out spot. We want to provide a professional place for children and adults of all ages to learn all aspects of golf and how technology can help them improve their game along,” Rodriguez said.
“We appreciate the Clear Lake community support and hope to see them at the grand opening in the first quarter of 2027.”
