Zia Records is expanding! The beloved one-stop pop culture shop with longtime Vegas roots is working on its third opening. Signs are already up for the upcoming North Las Vegas Zia Records store, expected to open this fall at 1366 W Cheyenne Ave, Suite 101-103.

“North Las Vegas is untapped territory for Zia, but a location there has been heavily requested for years. We’re excited to bring Zia Records to North Las Vegas for our current customers in that area and for new people to discover Zia now that it’s in their backyard,” Zia Records Marketing Manager Christina Wilson said in an interview with What Now Las Vegas.

“I’ve been with Zia for 18 years! A third location has been a dream/something that’s been talked about from the moment I started.”

Zia Records has served the Las Vegas Valley for the past two decades, with locations in Henderson and Las Vegas.

“With Zia celebrating 21 years in Vegas this year, the most appropriate way to celebrate seemed like going all in and opening the third location,” Wilson said.

“It’s also a testament to our customers who are always asking for more Zia! We’re happy there’s so much love and demand for Zia and physical media that we’re able to do this! We couldn’t ask for better or more enthusiastic customers!”

Brad Singer founded Zia Records in the spring of 1980 in Phoenix, Arizona, as a small used record and novelty shop. The brand began as Zia Used Records and Incidentals, focusing on clean, pre-owned music, supporting local artists, and growing through word of mouth.

“Simply put, Zia Records is a one-stop pop culture shop where people can find records, CDs, movies, video games, books, and random bits and bobs you didn’t know you needed,” Wilson said.

“Beyond that, I think it’s a place of comfort for media enthusiasts and lovers. It’s personally my home away from home.”

In the 1990s, Zia Records expanded across Arizona (including Tempe, Tucson, Chandler, and Mesa) and launched side ventures like Impact Music (distribution), CHUD Graphics, and the independent label Epiphany Records.

The brand navigated the decline of compact discs and digital music disruptions by branching out into pop-culture merchandise, video games, collectibles, and leading the charge in the vinyl resurgence and Record Store Day.

“Zia is a place where you’re immersed in the past, present, and future of media, music, pop culture, and the like,” Zia Records Las Vegas Valley store manager, Myke Joyner, said in an interview with What Now.

“We have a little bit of something for everyone from the avid collector to the first-time vinyl buyer.  The warm, upbeat, and varied nature of our staff members is reflective of the Las Vegas community, and we serve a daily mission to connect all of our customers with their old favorites, current favorites, and the favorites of tomorrow.”

Zia Records now operates nine locations across Arizona and Nevada, with two here in the Las Vegas Valley.

“We aim to provide a level of customer service consistent with the reputation that has preceded us throughout the years while also bolstering the community of North Las Vegas with a hub for music, movies, pop culture, and everything in between,” Joyner said.

“We want to continue to provide opportunities for members of the community to meet and experience our unique offerings from advance listening parties to meet-and-greets, Record Store Day, and more!”

Zia Records plans a big grand-opening weekend of fun, with sales, promotions, freebies, and more, to celebrate the new location.

Zia Records is anticipated to open in North Las Vegas at 1366 W Cheyenne Ave, Suite 101-103, this fall.

“Customers are going to find the same great deals on new and pre-owned physical media as well as be able to trade or sell their pre-loved media to us for store credit or cash,” Wilson said.

“We’re excited people in the community will have a place to gather and discover their next favorite album, whether they find it while digging or come to a listening party or in-store event. We’re so happy to be able to call North Las Vegas home to Zia Records now, too!”
